Fred is forced to leave his home when his parents are murdered. He first has to learn more about himself and the world before he can find out why his parents were killed and avenge their deaths.I am not entirely sure what to think of the book. The setting is intriguing and it is a new twist to the dungeon core plot. Liked the setup at the beginning. The mc is a bit too rash and too quick to anger for my taste even if it makes sense considering his upbringing. By the end though (after he started rolling money after his first dungeon crawl) I found myself quick reading through the remaining pages. Things felt a bit too easy for the protagonist. The game mechanics (especially for the mc) felt a bit too random for my taste.I am going to read the next part, curious how things are going and hope the dungeon building feels more structured and fitting within the setting.
The approach to Dungeons is very refreshing in this one and the characters are interesting and realistic, I eagerly await the next one - 10/10
What happens when your dungeon core looks like a human? What happens when your dungeon core needs allies among humans to find out which dungeon cores are the enemy? What if your dungeon core knows nothing about BEING a human?Lots of fun discovery follows, with much of the story being Fred simply trying to figure out what he can do, and how to do it, all while not giving too much away.
If it had a rating i would say something like main disny movie.Nothing bad with that, just there where not even one kiss, most of the action was mostly blood and gore free.But that do not make a bad story, it is good, and i do want to see how fred and co grows and how they get out of the mess fred has created.
I like the oversaturation of sentient dungeons. I also like that they are the apex creature on this world. I will be curious to see how Fred plans to use his new powers to survive the sh*tstorm probably headed his way.
Great addition to the dungeon core genre. Thoroughly enjoyable with lots of action and adventure, not to mention an interesting system.
I read this novel in less than a day, I was so engrossed in it. The world-building and character development, pacing, etc. all came together in a wonderful introduction to this new world.
Written really well, descriptive and concise. Looking forward the the next in this series. Hope it won’t be too long.
