For someone who simply enjoys a challenge, the LSAT Preptest 45 is the perfect solution to prep you for the LSAT. The questions are very true to the actual LSAT tests.One thing to keep in mind when using these Preptests is to understand that there is a clear methodology and frame of mind for conquering the tests. My strongest recommendation is to take your time to throughly understand how the questions are being presented to you and understand the patterns and logic behind the questions. Then, once you have mastered that, start timing yourself on how fast you can go. You will quickly realize that it doesn't matter what the question is, HOW you arrive at the solution is ALWAYS THE SAME!So, be prepared to be challenged and intrigued. These preptests take the frustration out of not "getting" a question that is presented and trains your mind to become focused on arriving at logical solutions to tough questions.

Ben Dolnick's latest novel follows The Vines--Arthur and Alice and their three children, Will, Jacob and Cara. The Vines are your typical family living a fairly uneventful life in suburban Maryland. Jacob, the middle child, doesn't have the same self-confidence and self-assurance that his siblings do, and longs for approval, to fit in. When Alice is diagnosed with cancer, Jacob takes advantage of the ensuing chaos to explore his new freedom, causing harmless adolescent trouble and, ultimately, pursuing his first romantic relationship. And when Alice dies, his personality takes on new sensitivity, which he tries to use to his advantage.You Know Who You Are focuses on Jacob as he moves through high school, college and life after graduation. His relationships are always slightly off-kilter, whether with his family, friends or various girlfriends. Even as he grows he still feels as if he lives in Will's shadow, although Will has his own troubles figuring life out. But all of this uncertainty, and the struggles that Jacob experiences, makes him a tremendously sympathetic character, and it's one of the reasons this book is an enjoyable read.I love books about family dynamics. While this family is a little less dysfunctional than most, I still found Jacob's story, and that of the entire Vine family, very interesting. It took me a little while to get completely hooked, but once I did, I found myself flying through the book. The plot explores very familiar territory, but Dolnick's storytelling ability makes even the familiar seem slightly different. This is one of those books that lacks fireworks but relies on the strength of its characters to tell a compelling story. I enjoyed it a lot.

Dolnick's a dangerous one. i found myself having to look up from the page from time to time to fully savor - or would it be to diminish? - the almost painful flood of recognition, toe-curling embarrassment, lust, etc. that the author is able to put me through with his clean and humble but psychologically acute prose. Dolnick is a serious and moral writer - demonstrating a writerly intelligence and sensitivity without indulging in too many bells and whistles that seek to draw attention to that intelligence or sensitivity. in this way, though his subject is adolescent (for much of the book), his writing is anything but. the narration has been handled so deftly that the writer hasn't left fingerprints on it. for instance, there's the grace with which dolnick moves between time slices of jacob's life. this is the kind of writerly virtuosity that only reveals itself when you notice, at some point, what you're not noticing all that much - i.e., the passage of time in the narrative. the fact that you're somehow inhabiting years of jacob's inner life, and shouldering the subtle heft of them as they accumulate, and yet, this is all happening in less than 300 hundred pages.i highly recommend this book, especially to anyone who ever went to high school, ever.

Every now and then you read a book like this and wonder if the author had actually been reading you while he or she set pen to paper. You Know Who You Are tells the story of Jacob Vine's struggle into adulthood, spanning from his early childhood to his mid-twenties. You Know Who You Are is even more ambitious than Dolnick's first book, Zoology, yet tackles this larger endeavor with the same energy and attention that marks Dolnick's impressive writing style. Dolnick has a particular skill for description; each page is filled with morsels of text that convey far more meaning than the sum of their words.Structurally, Dolnick tells this story by way of slices of time from key points in Jacob Vine's life. This makes for clear and great storytelling and also feels more realistic and true to how one actually experiences life and remembers it. Dolnick captures so much of the smells and tastes and feelings of those years -- from the cool rush of ice water that pours over you when you realize how much trouble you are in, to the ability to concentrate one's entire being into a hand held by the girl you like. Over the course of reading You Know Who You Are, I certainly relived my own memories of the tininess of being a child, the awkwardness of being a teenager, and my own stumblings into adulthood.I recommend this book as strongly as I can. Dolnick has done it again with You Know Who You Are, and I can't wait to see what comes next.

Ben Dolnick manages to convey the angst, humor and emotional challenges of an adolescent becoming a teenager becoming a young man. His poignant and often funny account of the early life of Jacob Vine engages and captures the reader. "I have experienced this" is the refrain coursing through your mind as you read this engaging new novel. The author keeps your attention as he escorts you through chapters of Jacob's youth. Not just a view of an adolescent's life, but watching a young boy mature.

I like the way this guy writes a story, not predictable, not outrageous, just something that can -and probably does happen all the time

This is the second book of his that I've read. He reminds me of Jonathan Tropper or early Tom Perrotta, clever and funny.

This is a terrific book. It's a breathtakingly honest account of Jacob Vine as he goes from adolescence to young adulthood. At times funny, it is most especially poignant. Not so much a coming of age novel, as a coming into one's own story.

I want to talk about two aspects of this book that influenced my rating. The first, and most relevant, is the content. It is a well written book, has great, easy to read and remember examples and pieces of information, and has a layout conducive to learning. The authors make the topic interesting and dispel the common misconceptions about career counseling right off the bat. If it was just about this, I would give it 5 stars. However, there is also a technical aspect that negatively influenced my learning experience. For one, the rental price is too high. The other issue is that you can only access this book on one device. So if you are reading on your computer, you cannot read on your phone while on your commute. Or if it is on your tiny phone, you cannot read it on your computer while doing work. This is unnecessarily restrictive and I cant see why these restrictions are even in place.

This is the driest book I've ever read in my entire life. I was really hoping that it would forever change my mind and preconceived notions about career theories and career counseling and open me, as a counselor, up to career counseling; however, it, unfortunately, will remain in the annals of my counseling library and destined to collect dust akin to the career counseling theories contained therein.

Pretty good book, really just needed it fast for an online summer class -- you know how fast those fly by! I feel really guilty for having bought it on July 10th as I know people are currently avoiding this site because of the way they treat their employees. It seems really ironic that I had to purchase the copy of this book here, as the book discusses finding meaning and happiness in work, which amazon clearly does not provide to their many underpaid, overworked employees. I will be donating to the worker's cause and I suggest you also check out how to help them.

This book is good for the info that it provides on the process of career counseling. However, It appears they didn't check the links to many of the web-based materials they reference. Half of them are broken or don't contain the information which the texts say should be there.

My book arrived with the MyCounselingLab access code. Together it was very expensive but I need the code; however, the code does not work and I have not found a way to contact Amazon to see if I can get a working code.

So dense and not at all reader friendly.

I cannot open this on my windows computer. This makes using this book for an open book exam useless. After reading one chapter and bombing my first test I am not finding a way to cancel the rental. I only read one chapter and I purchased 2 days ago

About the Author

Johann Georg Hohman was a prominent figure in both popular printing and folk magic of the Pennsylvania Dutch community. He immigrated to Reading from Hamburg in 1802 and made a long career of publishing books, ballads, and broadsides. As publisher of some of the first Germanic broadsides and ballads in America, Hohman attempted to improve the translated songs and remedies for ease of singing and recitation. He disappeared after producing his last work in 1846. Homhan's mysterious European origin, unrecorded death, and Roman Catholic faith—rare in a Protestant society—all add to the intrigue of reading his works. This book was a onetime invaluable to someone of Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage. Now it's more of a fun read, although some of the remedies, I believe still work to this day. Tips and tricks for everyday life with some old world charm. Fun read.

I ordered 3 different books like this. A complete waste of money. I am very disappointed. I thought I was ordering books on Amish art.This has nothing to do with art.These books aren't cheap either and are by the looks of things Christian magic.

Not a bad cocktail book. It is very comprehensive and informative, with sections on every base alcohol. Some of the recipes are sub par, but overall a good book to have.

I date an aspiring at-home bar tending guru. He would at tend for money, but at a party or dinner or family get-together, this man is phenomenal. I saw this book at a friend's house. It was all dusty, but looked interesting, so I wiped it off and it was like I found the holy grail. I immediately ordered one and haven't needed to use google once for a delicious drink. It's so extensive and organized, it's impossible for you to not find something you want. I'm almost ashamed to say that this is my most read book, but it's so damn helpful that I'm proud of it.

This book is AMAZING. If it is not in this book ... then you probably don't really need it. It handles the basic set up of a family bar or any small bar for that matter. It gives recipes and glassware advice and even shows pictures!Being a recent graduate of a professional Bar Tender's Course I found it to be informative and useful for beginner to expert. I would buy again if I lost this one. I encourage anyone interested in the field of mixology to have one in their library.

I have made several of my old drinks I loved, from Brandy Alexander to Singapore Sling. I haven't found recipes by Googling or library that made drinks like they were in the 50s and 60s. I've had many books since I lost my old one and none were nearly as good as this one. My only complaint is the print is way too small. I have to use a magnifying glass to read the difference between 1/4 and 1/2 measurements and I need lots of light to read most of the words. Not for old people or those without good eyesight. I'm 76 and I have corrected 20/20 vision. If it had normal font size it would have given a 5 star.

Bought as a part of a group gift for a friend's wedding. They absolutely loved all of the details and this book was a hit as it gave detailed information about everything you need to know about bar tending.

This book have a lot of details how to set up a bar, about drinks, etc. what I love the most is that the recipes are detailed and tell you step by step, and each recipe has a picture of the type of glass you are going to need, and what type of garnish to use. This book will come in handy. Personally, I haven't tried creating any drinks yet, but I'm super excited to start! Plus shipping was really fast!

This is a great book which is the perfect complement for your home bar. To start with, the book is a great size to keep tucked out of the way but substantial enough that it will last a long time; plus its hard cover looks good. There are so many cocktail recipes in here that you won't run out. Add to that there's a ton of information about the basic tools and drinks/mixers as well as what you may want for a pretty substantial home wet bar. The book also provides information about the history of the cocktails and the various types of alcohol.

I haven't studied the book yet, but after paging through it and reading a few of the recipes, it seems to be a very well constructed and concise guide. Along with the recipes are background information about the drinks, their origin / history. I'm satisfied it will be a good resource.I do have to admit I was disappointed about one thing. The thing that prompted me to buy the book was the desire to learn how to make a good brandy old fashioned. Alas, there is no recipe for that (there is a Whiskey old fashioned recipe).Apparently the Brandy version is an upper mid-west or Wisconsin thing. I'll have to resort to back alley mixologists, find what I need on the streets.

This nifty handbook was surprisingly comprehensive. Where all i initially expected was literally a recipe book on a variety of cocktails, what I got instead was not just recipes, but measurement guides, guides to glassware and tools, guides on techniques, types of alcohol, and even some back story of various items of interest. Some recipes also include variations of it that can be done with just minor tweaks. All of this is packed into a hardback, elegant volume that is still small enough to be handy.I highly recommend this book for any with interest on the subject, as it really is the ultimate guide.

Even though it’s the fourth book in the Faderville Novels series, it’s stand-alone storyline doesn’t depend on the three earlier novels. As with the other books in this series, I loved it and I’m already looking forward to book 5.

Right from the first 3 chapters, this story just grabs you and holds you until the end. What starts out as a tragedy makes you want to keep reading to see if somehow it will turn into something good. Often, this story brought tears to my eyes especially when it came to Sooner.Here you have Brandy and Sooner, her Australian Shepherd, who love to travel and attend dog shows when things don’t go according to plan. There is Greyson, where city boy meets country and wonder which one will win. But best of all are Sooner’s great monologues which are so important to the story.What makes this story really shine is you are seeing it from Brandy, Sooner and Greyson’s points of view. You don’t have to guess what is really going on in their minds, they just tell you. It is a story about how good can come out of something very bad. It makes me want to know more about these characters and see where their stories could go.

Like the three that came before, I loved every word. Great Story and many great lessons.The author has a way of gripping you with each character. And Sooner, such a wonderful soul

I could not put this book down until the last word. I felt the hurt, ran the whole race and loved like no other. Read this author, savor the people, listen to this dog. I don't want to read the final book, I'm not ready to let go.

Great series. Love those books. My favorite are the dogs but the story of the humans are very good. Some are going to move you to tears and some to laughter

Once again this book is another beautiful book in the Faderville series. This author captures life in real terms. It just great, that’s all.

i'd forgotten how much I loved the Faderville series. I loved, loved, loved "Say When." I stayed up late several nights, because I just couldn't put it down. I laughed a lot and cried a lot. I loved it to the sun and moon and stars.

I loved each of these 4 books about Aussie' s, they all made me laugh, sigh and tear up! Extremely beautifully written and each give you a insight into what dogs think!
