The book starts slowly, but gets better after page 52.Florence has great success evangelizing natives in Australia and the Solomon Islands, but too much detail is given when they moveto another area or as they travel. This is tedious to read.There are better books in the series," Christian Heroes: Then & Now". Search for the name of the series on Amazon and check thebooks with a high star rating. Some are excellent.The 2 authors write well, and they've written every book in the series. Amazing that they can write so many good books.

Florence Young is a fascinating story of a young lady raised in a constantly moving family to become involved in a ministry to indentured servants around her and forming a mission to reach them. As the indentured servants were reached for the Lord and most of them were returning to their native islands, she responded to the challenge of Hudson Taylor and became a missionary to China.

A great story of a shy girl who became a courageous lady and was used by God to change the lives of hundreds of people. This later multiplied out to thousands of Solomon Islanders.
